GDV approval
It is so that the toxicological assessment and testing documentation needs to be in place before applying for the approval. The overall goal to ensure that no harmful substances is migrating to the drinking water in too high concentrations.
In short version the steps regarding the toxicological assessment for approval are:
- We obtains information on the raw materials (full (****) chemical product composition) used in the product from the suppliers and sub suppliers.
- We investigates substances to be included in the test program.
- We forwards the test program to the client. The client makes agreement with the laboratory to perform the specified tests.
- The client sends products for tests to the laboratory.
- The laboratory performs tests and forwards the test results to the client preferably with a copy to us.
- When we receives the test report, the final assessment of the product will be performed.
- We will inform the client if there are any problems fulfilling the requirements. The client may decide to perform new tests/initiate product improvements at this stage.
- The assessment in the form of an safety evaluation letter from us will then be forwarded from us to the client.
- The approval will cover the specific product. In case of any changes in the material composition/substance/production, the approval is no longer valid and a new assessment and approval is required.
