电熔致密刚玉就是以工业氧化铝为主要原料,在三相电弧炉内使γ-AL2O3转变为α- AL2O3而成。γ-AL2O3转变为α-AL2O3是单向的致密刚玉,主晶相大于96%,气孔率小于4%,转化后的体积变化率大约缩小14%左右,因此致密刚玉具有良好的抗酸碱性能,在高温下具有良好的耐磨、抗侵蚀及体积稳定性。
致密刚玉作为**耐火材料,广泛应用于冶金、石化、建材、高温陶瓷、机械等行业,特别是在陶瓷辊道棒、连铸三大件、大型出铁沟等方面有广泛的用途。
Dense fused corundum is made fromγ-Al2O3 by transforming it intoα- Al2O3, which is aunidirectionalprocess, in the 3-phase Arc Furnace, using industrialalumina asmain raw material. Its main crystal phase content is morethan 96%,while the porosity rate less than 4%.And the volume-changeratiodecrease by about 14% after the transformation, hence, densefusedcorundum possesses good acid and kali resistance, and hasgoodabrasion-resistance, erosion-resistance and volume stabilityathigh temperature.
As a kind of top refractorymaterial,dense fused corundum is widely used in industries likemetallurgy.,petrochemical, building materials, high temperatureceramics,mechanical manufacture and etc., especially in themanufacture ofthe ceramic rollers, three-pieces shroud, monolithicstopper andiron runners for large blast furnace and so on.
